We came across a news clipping from October 20, 1969 that reported two game jerseys, two sticks and a set of gloves were stolen from the Penguins dressing room inside the Boston Garden. Apparently the jerseys that were stolen belonged to Bob Woytowich (#3) and Jim Morrison (#27).

So we checked our official scoresheet from the night before and it did reveal new numbers for two Penguins players. Woytowich wore #23 and Morrison wore #26 against the Bruins.  The Boston game was the first of a four-game road trip and numbers were worn until the team returned to Pittsburgh.

We have made the adjustments on our all-time uniform number list.
