Today is the 50th anniversary of the Penguins franchise being awarded by the NHL. The NHL announced that it would double in size on Feb. 9, 1966. The Pittsburgh Penguins wore their road, white jerseys with this patch on Friday, November 14, 2014 in a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The patch features the Hockey Hall of Fame logo to mark the annual induction weekend. Have a look at the other special Penguins patches:
 The Pittsburgh Penguins haven't worn this uniform scheme since June 1, 1992.  They'll be wearing them tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers.
