Former Penguins assistant coach Jimmy Roberts died today after battling cancer. He was 75. Roberts, won five Stanley Cup rings as an all-star as a defenseman with the Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues, served as an assistant with the Penguins from 1984 through 1987, under head coach Bob Berry. He also served as a head coach of the Buffalo Sabres, Hartford Whalers and Blues.
