>Former Pens defenseman Paul Coffey will be inducted into the Penguins Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 15 at Mellon Arena. Coffey helped the Penguins learn how to be champions when he arrived here in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers. The scary part? The induction will fall nine days short of the 20th anniversary when the Pens obtained Paul Coffey, Dave Hunter and Wayne Van Dorp from Edmonton for Craig Simpson, Moe Mantha, Dave Hannan and Chris Joseph.

Simpson, was starting his third season with Pittsburgh when the trade was made. What current young guy will get traded for veteran leadership? Or, maybe it already happened with the Noah Welch / Gary Roberts trade last year?

Frank Sciulli, who worked with the Pittsburgh Hornets from 1964-67 and the Penguins from 1967 until last year, also will be inducted to the Hall of Fame. Can’t wait to see that Hall of Fame in the new Mellon – BONY Arena.
